Week 3 Task
This document analyses the visual story arc diagram for Ford vs Ferrari (2019). The diagram visually maps the key events of the film, the progression of characters—mainly Ken Miles and Carroll Shelby—and how narrative tension rises and falls across the runtime. It also identifies character archetypes and contextual information that influences the story before the film begins.

For this research task, I examined how mise-en-scène functions in Man of Steel (2013) and how its visual elements support narrative themes, realism, and emotional engagement. Mise-en-scène includes everything placed within the frame: settings, props, costume, lighting, performance, and character arrangement. Analysing these components helps reveal how visual decisions communicate meaning to the audience
